“Congratulations! So sorry we’re late, though.” Leeteuk briefly but wholeheartedly congratulated the groom. Leeteuk, Heechul, Eunhyuk and Ryeowook had been invited to attend their close friend’s wedding.
The whole atmosphere when they entered the wedding reception, was filled with laughter and people talking, catching up with one another and relatives that they hadn’t met up with for a very long time.
There were pretty lights and bold displays of flowers at the center of each and every table, which was covered by silk tablecloths. Soft and melodious music played in the background as white noise, and the gigantic yet beautiful 6-layered wedding cake was hard to miss, as it was placed at the left of the stage. It was obvious that the couple who had invited them spent a huge fortune on the overall turn-out of the wedding.
But, after all, a wedding was a once-in-a-lifetime thing; it was meant to be something special, something that the newly-married couple would want to share with their families and friends. It was supposed to be a lavish and grand affair, so spending a huge amount on it was most appropriate.

“KangIn ah, I’m having second thoughts – let’s not play this g--,”
“Donghae! What do you mean by that! We already signed the contract officially among the four of us! The game is on!” KangIn interrupted.
It was a quarter to six, and KangIn, Hankyung, Donghae and Kibum were about to make their way to the ice-cream parlour near their dorm.

People stood up to once again congratulate the newly-wedded couple before they left the reception. There were exchanges of goodbyes, ‘see you soon’ and some even joked about ‘I hope my own wedding would be as grand as this!’
Everyone was smiling genuinely as they made their way out. Everyone was happy on the inside and out. Everyone, but Leeteuk. He was happy for the newly-weds, really. But this wedding, made him realize that he was going to be alone – he had Heechul, Eunhyuk and Ryeowook now, but what would become of him once all of them get married and live their own lives? Leeteuk thought of how the groom and the bride were so happy together, the smiles on their faces – their love for each other could be felt.
“Teukie hyung, we’re leaving, let’s go!” Ryeowook’s cheery voice pulled Leeteuk back into the present time. Behind the younger boy, Heechul and Eunhyuk were waiting as well.
The oldest of the four looked back and forth at his three other dongsaengs, and tried, “Eunhyuk ah, would you mind driving them home first? I…I’d like to have some time on my own before going home.”Labels: chapter two
