Leeteuk was bleeding from his sides and the back of his head. His right leg was fractured as he laid there bleeding on the road, where a small crowd has gathered around him, for about ten minutes, before the familiar sirens were heard. The injured youth was immediately rushed to hospital and Heechul, Eunhyuk and Ryeowook were informed.
It took about an hour before Leeteuk regained consciousness, and within that one hour, Kangin and his friends had also been informed. The patient’s bedside table was overflowing with gifts and get well cards, and with everyone praying for him, he finally came to.
His vision was blur, and he could barely make out the people crowding over him. As he regained focus, he could see Heechul, Eunhyuk and Ryeowook smiling at him, while failing in trying to hide their worries for him. He looked at the three of them and managed a weak smile.
Leeteuk turned his head, and realized that Hankyung, Donghae, Kangin and Kibum were also there. He continued to smile at them, but when his eyes settled on Kangin, the smile faded and his heart beat fast once again.
“You,” Leeteuk glared at Kangin, and tried to disguise his hurt, “get out. I never want to see you again!”
Even as those words came out of Leeteuk’s own mouth, he felt as though he was literally dying from heartbreak. Kangin never once shifted his gaze from the floor to meet Leeteuk’s eyes, but as he heard those words, he felt his own heart die, as though he had been sentenced to death.
“Leeteuk-sshi, listen--,” Donghae began, but he was interrupted by Kangin.
”It’s alright. I’ll go.” Kangin drew in a deep breath and made his way out of the room.
When the door closed behind him, the atmosphere in the room was tense and awful silence began to set in.
“Hyung, what happened? Why did you ask Kangin to leave?” Eunhyuk was puzzled, and so were Heechul and Ryeowook.
After waiting for Leeteuk to say anything, which he didn’t, Donghae spoke in a soft voice, “We’ll explain this on our way out, later.”

“So, what you guys are trying to say, is that, our hyung is dating Kangin, and it was supposed to be a game between Kangin and the three of you, at first?” Heechul recited all that he had heard from Kangin’s friends.
“Yes, but apparently, Kangin fell genuinely in love with Leeteuk and when it was time to carry on with our game, he was reluctant, and as we were discussing it, Leeteuk came to our house and overheard our discussion.” Hankyung finished.
“Then, does…does Leeteuk feel the same way towards Kangin, too?” Eunhyuk asked.
“It’s possible,” Donghae replied, “from what Kangin has said about Leeteuk, it’s possible.” Labels: chapter nine
