Leeteuk decided that he should go over to Kangin’s house to visit, and maybe, if he can muster up the courage, confess to him as well.
Leeteuk prepared some cookies that he had baked by himself, as he didn’t want to go there empty-handed. He didn’t tell Kangin beforehand that he was coming over, as he wanted to give his dongsaeng a surprise.

In Kangin’s own dorm, Hankyung, Donghae, Kibum and Kangin were gathered in the living room, discussing who should be the next player of the game.
“Yah, I really don’t want to be a part of this anymore!” Donghae spoke, stopping the whole discussion halfway.
“Why not?” the other three asked.
“This. What you guys are doing. What you are doing now, Kangin, is hurtful. Not to you, of course, but to that guy, what was his name? The one we met at the ice-cream parlour? Ah, Leeteuk.”
“How would you know that, Donghae? You’re not him!” Hankyung debated.
“I know, hyung. I know. I know the feeling of losing someone you love, of having someone you love be taken away from you. And from what you have said about Leeteuk after your dates, I can tell that he has definitely fallen for you, Kangin.”
What neither Donghae, nor the others knew was that the main subject, the main person they were talking about right now in their living room, was actually standing outside their house, listening closely to every word they said.
“Seriously, whatever, Donghae. Let’s carry on the game, shall we?” Kibum continued, ignoring what his hyung has just said.
“Kangin, you’ve played with that Leeteuk guy long enough already, and you haven’t landed a kiss on him yet, let me go next!” Hankyung asked excitedly.
“Yah, hyung! The aim of the game was to get a person in bed! The person who didn’t manage to, shall move on and pass that person to the next player, remember!”
The man standing right outside their dorm couldn’t believe his ears. He felt like he had lost all feeling in his body and dropped the cookies onto the floor. He felt light-headed; he didn’t know what to do. His mouth was dry, but his eyes were wet.
The four men inside the dorm heard the crash of something outside, and all of them went to check.
As they opened the door, they were stunned.
“Leeteuk…how long have you been…standing there?” Donghae asked, worried that he might have overheard what he shouldn’t have.
“Long enough.” Leeteuk’s cheeks were hot now, as tears started trickling uncontrollably down his face. Leeteuk didn’t even glance at Hankyung, Donghae or Kibum; his focus went straight to Kangin, who was avoiding his eye-contact.
“Leeteuk, I…” Kangin stammered, as he looked down at his feet, feeling his own cheeks grow hot.
“I don’t want to know. And I never want to see you, again!” Leeteuk shouted out those words with all his might, and with every word, tears seem to build up and pour down more and more.
He ran as fast as he could, he didn’t care where he was going; he just wanted to get as far from Kangin as possible. He didn’t stop when he was almost out of breath; he just kept on running. It didn’t matter if he died halfway: that would be a great thing, actually.
Leeteuk was running, trying to tire himself out to the maximum, so that he could forget about what happened. He was blaming himself for all that has taken place, that he was too naïve to thing that he was actually being loved back by someone he loved.
The young man’s heart was in great pain – he had never felt like this before, not even with his previous break-ups. This was something powerful, something true. He felt like he was dying, not from running, but from the pain in his heart. Leeteuk decided to stop for a while, because he couldn’t take the pain, then suddenly, he saw a bright light growing larger and brighter, as though it was heading for him. He heard a loud horn and a single loud sound following that, like of that of an explosion. Then, total darkness...Labels: chapter eight
