It was 8am and KangIn was awake. He got up and refreshed himself. He dressed himself up nicely and even wore cologne. He was going out on a date. He did final touches to his hair and he was off.

The young man went into a shop which hung the sign: 'Sweets & Treats' and bought chocolates which where nicely arranged in a heart-shaped box.

At the same time, Leeteuk was already on his way out to meet Kangin. He had left his friends – who were still sleeping – and sneaked out of the house, leaving a note saying: I’ll be back late. This time, don’t wait up!

Leeteuk was wearing all-white, from top to bottom. He felt that white was the colour that looked the best on him and thus, earned himself the nickname “angel” from his friends.

He didn’t buy anything for Kangin on his way to meet him, nor did he prepare anything else. Leaving a good impression on Kangin was the last thing on his mind today; he was more concerned of how the day would turn out and what would he say when they met face-to-face once again, later on.

As he made his way down to the ice-cream parlour again, he peeped into the shop through the glass windows and saw Kangin already inside, sitting at the same place he had sat yesterday when they first met. Leeteuk felt his heart beating faster once more. He felt like turning around and running back home, but then again, he was a man of morals and his conscience would bug him if he stood Kangin up.

Shaking, he entered the shop and walked up to where Kangin was sitting.”Hey, sorry I’m late. Did you wait long?” He began, voice trembling slightly.
“Oh, hello! Nah, it’s alright. I just arrived too,” Kangin greeted chirpily. Then, he pulled out the box of chocolates he had bought especially for his date and continued, “Here, this is for you.”

The two made their way down to the water theme park after they met up and fortunately for them, the place wasn’t crowded, so they didn’t have to queue behind long lines to get on rides.

“So, what would you like to do to start off our outing together?’ Kangin asked.

“Er,” Leeteuk had never been to the water theme park before, and was overwhelmed by the various attractions, “well, we could ride that river thing first, right?” he suggested.

After much laughter and fun they both had in the company of one another, Leeteuk began to open up more to Kangin and both of them became closer. At the end of the day, both Leeteuk and Kangin were drenched with water from all the spraying and splashing they had done.

Kangin saw what his date was like, totally drenched in his white, now totally translucent, shirt, and he felt this urge. He snapped back into the present time almost immediately and didn't allow himself to imagine further. He tried to focus on something else and checked his watch. It was already eight.

“Hey, let’s get out of here and have our dinner!” he called out to Leeteuk, who was still busy playing in the water by himself.

Kangin tried very hard not to get too involved in his date, not knowing that it was exactly how the latter felt as well.

Kangin helped Leeteuk to get dry by forcing him to go under the hand-dryer in the public bathroom and by the time they left the theme park, it was already nine.

They hailed a taxi and were on their way to town for dinner. During the journey, the atmosphere inside the taxi was awkward once again. No body spoke for quite a long time.

“Kangin,” Leeteuk began, hoping to ease the tension, “I really had fun today. Thanks a lot.”

The other boy looked deep into his hyung’s eyes and smiled.

“I really had a blast, too.”

After dinner, they parted ways and headed home. Leeteuk was smiling all the way, even though he was dead tired from a day of fun. Kangin, on the other hand, felt something uneasy inside his heart. He genuinely had fun today, but something else made that feeling disappear. He couldn’t do it. At least, not this time
